Voronoi planter for glass

I designed this permeable interface between a small pot and a glass so that a high-water-demanding plant can be watered efficiently. This design was created specifically for a Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) pot, as shown in the accompanying images. To create this model, I first built a frame base using SolidWorks software, then converted it into a Voronoi structure using the web tool Voronator. Both models are included in this post for reference. Unfortunately, the Venus flytrap featured in the cover photo passed away due to heat stress in January, before this design was even published. I repurposed this planter as an aquarium wood chunk decoration and it now serves as a holder for Elodea plants. Check out my other planter designs on Thingiverse. I dedicate some of my time to creating these models and making them available for free.
