Voronoi Fracture Print-in-Place Pyramid Puzzle
pinshape
This 3D-printable pyramid puzzle was designed in Cinema 4D, utilizing the MoGraph Voronoi Fracture feature to create a complex geometric shape. Settings were optimized to produce a 0.3 mm air gap between each individual element, allowing the entire pyramid to be 3D-printed as a single STL file with precision and accuracy. Next, the Bevel Deformer in Cinema 4D was employed to add a 0.5 mm chamfer to all edges, eliminating any sharp corners and making the puzzle safe for handling. We offer STL files for three different printing scenarios: a single print-in-place model, a flat build plate for more flexible assembly, and ten individual parts that can be printed separately and assembled later. The Voronoi algorithm, used in this project, is a powerful tool for generating intricate patterns and shapes. For those interested in learning more about this technique, a comprehensive overview is available on Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voronoi_diagram.
