I was on the hunt for a high-performance windshield for my compact Primo EM172 DIY microphones, so I shelled out ø50 for the Rycote Mini Windjammer and crafted a skeleton basket to keep it at a comfortable distance from the mic. This setup is working amazingly well and I'm hoping that the irregular shape of the windscreen will prevent specific frequency damping or amplification, which can occur with traditional windshields due to standing waves. However, this might be overkill, but it does look great.
