Voron V0.1 Trident Skirts
prusaprinters
Trident style skirts for the V0.1. While not a new idea, I wasn't happy with the skirts available on various sites. These are a complete CAD redesign of the skirts by Golas at mods.vorondesign.com. I started out trying to remix them, but there were a lot of small things, CAD problems and geometry, that I didn't like. I ended up remodeling them with the changes that I wanted using the original design as more of a reference for dimensions. The Power Inlet part requires 2x M3 heat inserts. The slotted holes on the Power Inlet Bracket are intended to interface with the Power Inlet. The round holes connect to the frame. In order to attach the Power Inlet Bracket to the frame without disassembling the frame, I used a 5mm drill bit to open up the slot on one end of the extrusion. This is large enough to wiggle an M3 nut into the slot. See the red circle in the included images. I included a .3mf file for the skirts. Use it at your own risk! I included the file just to demonstrate how I sliced mine using a color change. If you do end up trying these, make sure you have an M600 macro set up in your printer.cfg before trying to use these otherwise your machine will not pause. Also make sure that you verify that your hotend is capable of printing at the speeds and flow rate set in slicer. I print primarily with a 0.6mm nozzle using a modified CHC Pro hotend. I set the file up to be sliced with a 0.4mm nozzle based on the files that I used with the 0.6mm nozzle, but I have not tested these files. The included 3mf file is meant to be an example. I printed the skirts seen in the pictures on my Trident 300mm.
