Voron V0.1 Toolhead Cable Collar

Brief:

I wanted to enhance the interface between the Voron V0.1 (or V0) Toolhead Cable Loom and rear frame plate. The standard rear frame plate allows for a significant amount of movement of both the Cable Loom and PTFE tubing. The extra space also creates a channel for heat to leak into the electronics compartment from the build chamber.

My design needed to secure the Cable Loom and PTFE tubing at the junction of the rear frame plate, reduce heated air transfer into the electronics compartment, and be simple.

I utilized TPU with moderate flexibility to print a collar that will secure the junction and create a relative heat barrier. The modification is not permanent and does not alter the existing hardware in any way.

Printer Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2 mm

Perimeters: 3

Infill: 15%

Infill Pattern: Grid

Top/Bottom Layer: 5

License:

Remixes allowed.
