Voron Blower Fan Duct Mod
thingiverse
This duct mod is designed to replace the original blower fan duct on my Voron 3D printer build with a more rigid alternative, simply because I wanted to try something new. Check out the Voron community on Reddit and GitHub, as well as MZBot's website for more information: https://www.reddit.com/r/voroncorexy/ https://github.com/mzbotreprap/VORON http://mzbot.us/ The original fan duct is supported by only one M3 screw and a large lip on the opposite side. This mod replaces half of the fan's body, includes the duct all in one solid piece, and is supported by three M3 screws instead. You'll need to remove the intake side of the fan's body to use this duct/body mod, which is definitely not necessary but I wanted to do it anyway. I've also included my inductive sensor mount mod, which features three mount points as opposed to the original two. Both parts print without supports, and the supports I've modeled on the fan body/duct mod should come off with a twist using some pliers. Fusion 360 files are included for anyone who wants to tweak the design. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25mm layers Infill: 40% Notes: Brim makes things easier. Both parts took about 50 minutes to print (each).
