Voron belted lead screw drive for z axis- no feet
thingiverse
Took Khmer_Rouge's enhanced model of SIERRA086's lead screw drive and adapted it to remove the need for feet, sacrificing some Z height but recoverable with taller extrusions. This modification makes it easier to enclose the system. Assembly requires a bit of finesse, necessitating in-place construction where t-nuts are slid into place after assembly is complete. The motor mounts still require testing to perfect belt tension adjustment. Currently, I'm utilizing the Voron 1.0 Z motor mount with the motor inverted. One belt proved sufficient for operation, and attempts to identically tension two closed loop belts became frustrating. With 550m extrusions and a 1220 tooth belt, just enough clearance exists. This version continues to support double-belt height pulleys. A revised model might employ standard height pulleys, possibly with a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio to enhance torque for larger beds.
