Voron Belted Extruder (Extra Tension)
thingiverse
This is a reimagined Voron Belted Extruder created by RussianCatFood. You can visit the original Voron github repository here: https://github.com/mzbotreprap/VORON . This extruder design allows for flexibility in filament usage, as you can either use 3mm filament or install a bowden tube and run 1.75mm filament directly to the hobbed gear. Several modifications have been made to enhance performance: The belt tension range has been extended, enabling compensation for stretched belts. Fillet shapes have been added to the quick release assembly for smoother filament changes. Small ball-end washers are now used on the tension spring bases for improved stability. To build this extruder, you will need the following components: 1x MK7/8 Hobbed Gear 1x M5x40 bolt 2x M5 Nuts 2x M3x35mm SHCS screws 2x M3 steel washers 2x M3 Nyloc nuts 2x springs (0.5" long, 0.18" OD, 0.024" wire) available from McMaster Carr with P/N: 9657K267 1x GT2 closed-loop belt measuring 188mm Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.15-0.3mm Infill Percentage: 50% Notes: To successfully print this extruder, use the same settings you would for any Voron part. Remove four sections that are in place for bridging: three screw holes and one large piece at the corner where the extruder gear is located. Print the two small washers at a layer height of 0.15mm to achieve optimal results. It is recommended to print everything except the main body at this setting as well, to ensure precise edge radii on all parts.
