As there continues to be a growing number of cases for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the U.S., hospitals are working above and beyond usual operating procedures to save as many lives as possible with what protective equipment they have on hand. We have seen the rising need for more gear for our healthcare and hospital workers and have stepped up in response. Our face shield is a modified version of the Prusa design which has been improved to include the following features: - One size fits all, flexible headband - Clean and reuse, rather than a disposable product - Modified to increase clear plastic shielding to 180 degree coverage, ear to ear - Extra shielding added on top to cover ventilation - Ventilation in the top shielding to prevent fogging - Tested for continuous wear over 5 hours, when foam padding is added - Middle-three pegs match a standard US 3-hole punch spacing - These are currently available at-cost and for bulk purchasing at www.combatingcovid.com *Face shields are not a single device for preventing infection.
