Based on a brilliant idea from https://www.xc40forum.com/threads/homemade-lightning-dock-for-xc40-recharge.4967/ The XC40 phone dock fits in the original ashtray in the Volvo XC40, allowing simple dock-and-charge of mobile phones, especially handy for using wired CarPlay. The dock is a simple one-piece print without need for supports. To install it, simply remove the ashtray by pulling it straight upwards. Drill a small hole in the bottom right side of the ashtray and feed the cable through. Route the cable through the dock and insert it into the ashtray. When reinserting the ashtray, remove the rubber mat in the centre console to route the cable underneath it, before connecting it to the USB connector above. I have uploaded three variants with different depths for the connector end of the cable.
