Now that's what you've been searching for. In 1967, Volvo introduced a new plastic insert as a storage compartment between the two front seats of the Volvo P1800. It's clear they overlooked adding a cupholder to their design. Here it is - print it out and stick it to the back of the original plastic part using double-sided tape. This custom-made holder fits perfectly around a standard European 330ml can, although I'm not sure if there are significant variations in US-can sizes.
