<p>It's a replacement for (in my case broken) car key body.</p><p><strong>Coloring</strong></p><p>Just stop the print after 4.4mm printing height and change the filament for the next 0.4mm. before changing back to the initial color for the last 0.3mm. I attached a 3mf and gcode file with those settings</p><p><strong>&nbsp;Disassembly of old key:</strong></p><p>You have to CAREFULLY remove the plastic casing without destroing the RF-token for the immobilizer. It sits loosly inside the original key casing. I sliced away the casing layer for layer with a cutter/xacto knife. The RF-token just fell out after I removed enough.</p><p>The metal part of the key is easier to remove, just cut away the casing until its loose.</p><p><strong>Assembly of 3D print:</strong></p><p>Fix the RF-token with a dab of glue (superglue/contact cement) in the cutout of the new casing.</p><p>Place the metal part in the casing, you can also glue it in for more stability. The printed retaining pin should align it automatically.</p><p>The four small holes in the outer ring of the casing are for small pieces of a paper clip or metal wire. They make it easier to align the ring perfectly. Just stick pieces of wire in one half and cut them to ~2mm length.</p><p>Glue the halves together with a strong plastic glue (e.g. contact cement).&nbsp;</p><p>I use this glue for PLA/PETG and it works just fine: <a href="https://www.amazon.de/UHU-46650-Spezialkleber-harte-Kunststoffe/dp/B000QB6HZK">https://www.amazon.de/UHU-46650-Spezialkleber-harte-Kunststoffe/dp/B000QB6HZK</a><br>Just clamp the parts together or at least press them for a few minutes and don't move them for a night.</p>
