Volvo Hood Insulation Clip

This is a simple print-at-home clip to replace Volvo part # 9182822 - hood insulation clip. This clip is not only used to hold the insulation to the underside of the hood on a Volvo but also to hold the engine splashguard in place to make installing the ten screws to secure the guard. These clips are unnecessary but make performing an oil change easier when removing and installing the engine splash guard. It fits perfectly in my wife's 2016 Volvo XC90 but also fits 18 models, 319 variants between 1998 and 2024. Just search “Volvo 9182822” to check the fitment for your car.I printed two in PETG so it was a little more flexible than PLA and would resist heat better. Print standing on end to the layers are running in the correct direction to allow it to flex properly without breaking. Printed on a Voxelab Aquila in Cura at 0.2 layer height with tree supports and raft. It saves me a couple of bucks when they inevitably fall out and is a nice practical print.
