This is my take on a 14th scale RC Volvo A60 H Dump Truck. Things you'll need and some building tips: Six "Dagu Wild Thumper" or equivalent wheels and tyres are required. Sixty-two millimeter brushed gear motors with a two hundred fifty RPM output and the appropriate electronic speed controller (ESC) must be acquired. If only two motors are used, please note that this will result in a very heavy model which will only get heavier as it is loaded. A high torque standard size steering servo rated at ten kilogram-force or more is necessary. I was not happy with the performance of the one inch brushed motor and screw drive dump box lift setup presented earlier. I ordered two 140 millimeter Actuonix linear actuators instead, but they cost sixty pounds each and may not be to everyone's liking. On the plus side, if your metal-work modeling skills are up to par, you might be able to get a better performance out of the centre-mounted motor and screw design. One millimeter thick sheet aluminum was used to sheathe both the top and bottom of the center section of the dump box in order to reduce the likelihood that rocks being repeatedly dropped into it would cause premature retirement. Update 11/1/2019: A set of wing mirrors were added, which had been forgotten about in the original post. A chassis mount and reinforced dump bed lugs were also added to support two x 140 millimeter Actuonix actuators for the dump bed.
