Volvo 940 Handle Repair

I was stuck with a busted door handle on my trusty old 940, and it was time for its MOT check-up, so I went searching for a replacement - just one day ahead of schedule, unfortunately. But CAD software and a 3D printer came to the rescue, as the original part is made of metal coated with plastic, giving me plenty of room to make improvements. This crucial component links the door handle directly to the linkage rod controlling the door latch mechanism; it's a simple swap: just pull out the pivot pin, slip in the new part, and put the pin back. The tiny legs are designed to spring back into place, but if they snap off during installation (which happened to mine), no worries - everything will still work fine. It's currently undergoing its MOT check-up, so I haven't taken any photos or conducted long-term testing yet, but it's held up beautifully for a week now.
