I love the original design done by @Ornotermes and thanks to offering the original CAD drawing I was able to use my sub-par Fusion 360 skills to make some small modifications to fit my use-case.I used a Sony XAV-AX5500 and to allow for better mounting, added an additional hole to mount it securely in the frame. I used the screws provided with the head unit, which weren’t very long, but work fine so far.I also designed a hood that attaches to the face of the mount with magnets. The idea behind this is that it reduces screen glare and also protects the main frame in case of severe hot weather warping the plastic. It's far quicker to print a new visor than to have to re-print the whole frame if it does warp.I added two small cutouts on each piece that allow for an 8x2mm rare-earth magnet to be installed via superglue. Once installed ensuring the correct polarity of the magnets, the hood then snaps into place.The dimensions of the hood go into the area of the double-din opening, so depending on the design of your headunit, it may not be compatible.As per the original description, this should be printed in something capable of withstanding high temperatures for the region your car lives in. I live in Australia and even printing in PETG I've already had one hood warp from leaving it on top of the dash on a hot day.Would highly recommend printing on a textured PEI sheet to get a nice finish without needing paint.Print Bed used: Gulfcoast Robotics Smooth/Textured Magnetic PEI sheetMaterials:For hood, requires four (4) 8x2mm Rare-earth magnets.
