Volvo 850 seat belt receptacle button

NOTICE: Ensure your seat belt system is functioning properly before driving. If you discover this part binding or hindering the movement of the latch mechanism, there is an issue that must be addressed before getting behind the wheel. My 1993 Volvo 850, like many others from the same era, had a cosmetic issue: The seat belt release button was discolored, worn out and featured a hole in it. This part is also used in some Volvo 740, 940, 960 models, and possibly other vehicles as well. I discovered an object called "1995 Volvo 850 seatbelt release button" by ksihota on Thingiverse. In my situation, it appeared to be acceptable, but its performance was lacking. It had a couple of minor differences compared to the original part from my car, which were sufficient to prevent the part from staying in place. I removed the worn-out part from the vehicle and replicated it in Fusion 360, reinforcing the central portion, just as ksihota's design did.
