Code and other files: https://github.com/TommyStyrvoky/Volumetric-peristaltic-pump- An open-source volumetric peristaltic pump developed as a low-cost alternative to expensive laboratory-grade volumetric pumps and peristaltic pumps. This device was created during my analytical chemistry undergraduate research. It features volumetric and continuous delivery modes with an accuracy of less than 1% error when delivering a volume if correctly calibrated. This pump features: Continuous and volumetric delivery modes Variable flow rate, ranging from 0.5 to 24 mL/min Direction control Blowout for operation with micropipette tips to reduce error between deliveries Interface with LabView over serial port Most of the parts for this project can be printed without support; however, there are four parts that require support for printing. These are: Pump front Pump back Tubing clamp Tensioning fixture The operation of this device uses a rotary encoder to select items on a menu. Rotation of the encoder changes between different modes and settings. Pressing the button selects the item, and rotating the encoder changes the value or state of that item. More detailed writeup on operation will be added later.
