thingiverse
This is the fourth of four models used to explore volumes of revolution in Calculus. To access the worksheet used with this model, visit https://graspthemath.wordpress.com/integral-calculus/ and navigate to Volume of Revolution - Shells. The hexagons should fit snugly into two inner pieces and two outer pieces. Due to variations in printer tolerance, you may need to adjust the size of the hexagons. Printing the shell2c piece in TPU will allow it to be flexible, making it easy for students to visualize how a shell can be unrolled into a rectangle.
