A precision volume control box for the micro USB Digispark (20mm x 18mm) is crafted with a rotary encoder in mind, featuring a 6mm shaft diameter and 15mm length. A 5mm LED hole is incorporated to illuminate the knob. The clam-shell design has been proven reliable. Four M4 Screws (10mm or 16mm) are required for assembly; no nuts needed. A dark base color paired with white or transparent knobs is suggested for a sleek look. The Digispark board offers four I/O pins, requiring two for the encoder (P0, P2), one for the encoder pushbutton (P5), and one for a signal LED (P1). Print Settings Supported: No Notes: Additional support may be necessary for the knob if bridging issues arise. The knob STL file already includes a sufficient support-ring that can be removed. A "concentric top infill" is recommended for the knob to achieve a smooth appearance. Custom Section Software and Installation General instructions are available on Instructables.com, while preparations for Digispark programming can be found on Digistump.com. The code is accessible on Adafruit.com. If grounding pin D5 causes a Digispark reboot, it may indicate a Chinese counterfeit; a fix is described by TheToivonen.
