Volume Knob
thingiverse
To suit my big power amp, I needed a large volume knob with an exclusive style that was impossible to find. So, I turned to a 3D printer for help! The vertical section should be printed at 0.2mm layer height, while the dome requires intricate detailing at just 0.05mm (50 microns) layer height. To ensure stability with such thin layers, solid layers are spliced just above the bridge. The STL is designed for a 1/4" D shaft, but adjustments can be made for other types. After printing, remove the wings that help prevent warping and paint the back white to enhance reflections from the backlighting.
