Volume Control Knob with Editing Shortcuts
thingiverse
Here's my take on building an open source volume control knob with editing or other shortcut profiles. That way, you can control the volume, play and pause music, scrub through your timeline, cut layers, adjust brush sizes and many more all in one. I assigned 4 functions to the knob: 1. for rotating it clockwise or counter-clockwise 2. single pressing the encoder switch (play/pause music/timeline) 3. double pressing (extra function for editing like cutting a layer) 4. holding down to toggle between profiles I completely designed the model in Fusion 360, and to save costs, I used a Digispark Attiny85 and wrote run commands to quickly display profile names.
