I own a Voltbike Urban. I need to carry a 2L thermos with me, but its bulk makes it too large for the saddlebag. The cross-bar is rectangular in shape. This part sits on the cross bar, and the thermos rests on top of it before being secured with a velcro strap. I discussed this setup further in my blog post dated June 4, 2018.
