Voltax Flashlight Cap for Collapsing Lightsaber

I tweaked thing:3733269 by franciscorp to work with a $2 Cdn 9-LED flashlight from the local DollarStore. [See https://www.thingiverse.com/make:844525 for pictures of my make.]CAUTIONS:I managed to snap the barrel of my first one, while whipping the blade out of the finished sabre a bit too forcefully. Probably because I thinned the wall a bit to accomodate the slightly wider light. Most will likely not have that issue. A bit of epoxy putty put mine back together with no subsequent problems. The largest collapsing blade segment actually sits on the rim of the flashlight cap with this design, which makes it protrude a couple of millimeters forward of the end. I was too lazy to fix the file (sorry) but after installing my "bladelock" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4595984/files) this was no longer an issue. I recommend fitting the lock, so that you can hang this saber from your belt, using the strap that comes on the flashlight.Category: Toys & Games
