Voltaic Pile - The World's First Battery
thingiverse
Hey everyone, These files go along with my most recent YouTube video, where I explain the chemistry and theory behind the Voltaic Pile. https://youtu.be/vrRZ8Mq0us0 The Voltaic Pile was the first battery known to be able to sustain an electric charge. It was created in the late 1700's / early 1800's by Alessandro Volta. Voltaic Piles are surprisingly easy to make, and they can create enough voltage to power small electronics, like LEDs. You'll get the best results when used in tandem with pre-cut strips of zinc and copper, which you can find here: https://amzn.to/3N3DNzR Check out my Instructable on how to make a good Voltaic Pile! https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Make-a-Voltaic-Pile-the-Worlds-First-Batter/
