This board caters to a device with two power sources. A data monitoring system identifies each supply via its digital input card. However, connecting them bridged the returns of both supplies, resulting in testing problems. To resolve this, the PCB isolates one supply optically before activating a relay to provide voltage to the digital input card instead of directly wiring it. Convenient pluggable connectors are included for testing and development purposes, as well as replacement in case of field failures. The assembly fits into an Altec DIN plastic enclosure and features LED indicators displaying power supply status and OptoIsolator operation.
