At the base of the old entrance door to the rector's house, three winged shields figure prominently, symmetrically placed. These shields are attributed to Berenguer Alemany, who was a canon at Vic and rector of Verdú in the late 13th century. This attribution is reinforced by the fact that the construction of the rectory would have taken place either shortly before or after the completion of the temple of the Parroquial Church of Verdú.
