Volkswagen Wheelcap Center (Polo 1.4 2005)

cults3d

A 3D model of a Volkswagen wheelcap center. I made this one for my recently bought second hand Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Trendline from 2005. The original piece is a bit curved, but I made mine flat with a circular piece to adapt it so it fits perfectly. I glued it to the wheelcap using silicone for plastic. There are two options for printing this: 1. Supportless - You can print the files "WheelCap" and "WheelCapAdapter" separately and glue them together before pasting them to the car wheelcap. 2. With supports - You can print the file "Full_Wheelcap" and print the piece at once using supports. I used PETG filament just in case because it's stronger and more heat resistant than PLA. I've had mine on my car for a month and they are perfect. You could use PLA without any kind of trouble if you live in a place that doesn't have excesively hot temperatures. PLA is fine as long as it doesn't get hotter than 60 ºC (140 ºF) and PETG can stand 70 ºC (158 ºF) approximately. (To print it in blue and white I changed the filament when it reached the correct height) I make custom models. I have more models in my profile and I'll continue to upload more
