The highly detailed Volkswagen Type 2 Samba 1963 Hippie model features an accurate, very high definition design. The car comes with a fully textured interior and various accessories like roof racks, ladders, suitcases, surfboard racks, and surfboards. It also has modeled headlights and taillights, with doors that can be opened. There are both opened and closed roof versions included in the model. The tires are modeled as well. Most parts of the model have been created using SubDivision/TurboSmooth surfaces, allowing for easy changes to resolution or smoothness in 3ds Max or Maya 2013. Alternatively, you can import the model into other compatible software that supports SubDivision surfaces and adjust the resolution or smoothness as needed. The base version of the car model has 899,304 polygons (not smoothed). For software packages that don't support SubDivision surfaces, the car model is available in three different resolutions ranging from 899,304 to 5,527,658 polygons. The accessory models are available in two different resolutions: roof racks S (8,736 and 139,968 polygons), M (11,422 and 182,976 polygons), L (14,108 and 225,984 polygons), and XL (19,480 and 312,008 polygons); ladders (12,770 and 205,808 polygons); suitcases (91,832 and 1,469,708 polygons); surfboard racks (32,096 and 514,560 polygons); and surfboards versions 1 & 2 (1,756 and 28,080 polygons) and versions 3 & 4 (2,272 and 36,368 polygons). In Max 2010 format, TurboSmooth is applied, allowing you to set the object resolution as desired. The named selection sets for TurboSmooth objects and interior are included. The doors are animated. For Maya 2013 format, a selection set for all SubDivision surface parts is provided, enabling easy changes to the resolution. A display layer for the interior is also included, allowing you to hide it if needed. In Max 2008/ FBX/ Cinema 4D 9.6/ Lwo 6.0 / Obj/ 3ds formats, the car is available in three different resolutions, and the interior and exterior are saved separately so you can use just the car without the interior if needed. The accessory models are available in two different resolutions as well. Previews of the model were rendered in 3ds Max using VRay, but note that the VRay materials and light settings are not included.
