I purchased an aftermarket intake system for my VW Polo 5 2014. The air inlet on the front of the package caught my eye immediately. Volkswagen does not sell individual air scoops; instead, they are packaged together with other components in a complete kit that costs around 500 euros. I pondered this fact and thought to myself, "Why not take matters into my own hands and create custom-made parts using 3D printing technology?"
