Dress like a car - anonymous I lit up the headlights and tail lights with battery tea lights. I also drilled small holes in the fender so I could stitch the costume onto a matching t-shirt. Customizable Canadian License Plates (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1781423) Customizable American License Plates (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1800070) Unfortunately, I started this project in AutoCAD. I envisioned a more complex blend for the tail lights, so those files are dwg format, but the rest of the design is SCAD. Eventually, I will convert them to make the whole costume SCAD. How I Designed This I designed it like this: I began with the fenders. I drew simple ellipses in AutoCAD and revolved them. Then, I cut the ends off and shelled the whole thing, extruding a large circle for the shoulders. I printed the fenders to make sure they looked good and used the printed model to design the remaining car parts. After the fenders were complete, I moved on to the VW medallion and license plate. This was easier than I thought it would be. I downloaded pictures of a VW logo and, using Inkscape and the SCAD plugin, made a simple medallion. Then, I added a square hanging loop. You can read all about the license plate here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1770479
