The Platform Under the Battery and Beacon for Volantex Ranger EX 757-3. Designed Specifically for a Battery Assembled from Sixteen 18650 Li-ion Cells (4S4P). This removable battery is fixed in place with latches, which are only available for printing on a printer with a print field of at least 28 cm. The protective housing for the beacon in the DIY version of tBeacon can be found at https://tbeacon.org. The beacon unit itself is removable and features a connector for recharging the internal battery as well as transmitting data from GPS. A round hole in the center of the platform is designed specifically for mounting the gimbal. The model for the gimbal is still under development, so STL files are not being uploaded at this time. However, the source code for the project can be found in Fusion 360 format, where three different versions of the suspension can be discovered. The platform also includes several cable tunnels and electronics compartments. One of these compartments is used to install a BEC for videos based on LM2596. The same area under the battery can be utilized for installing additional electronics. A camera switch and minimosd are currently installed in this location.
