Volantex ASW28 GPS and VTX Pod
thingiverse
The ASW 28 (V2) pod houses the Geekcreit VK2828U GPS module and Eachine TX526. Securely attach this pod to the fuselage, positioning it above the main wings. To route the GPS and VTX cables, drill a hole in the fuselage beneath the pod location, directing them towards the FCC mounted inside, which in my case is an F411 WING. To fasten the pod to the fuselage, apply tape firmly, then reinforce the GPS and VTX components within the pod using a few drops of hot glue. The white tape on top serves solely for aesthetic purposes. By combining this design with another that mounts the camera on the tail, the balancing issue on this plane is fully resolved. Now, I can fly it effortlessly with 3s or 4s LiIon 3000mAh batteries, achieving perfect balance every time. When printing this pod, ensure the flat side lies flat on the printing bed to avoid any complications. No raft or skirt is required for a smooth print.
