Voile strap and buckle copy

Voile strap and buckle copy

prusaprinters

I used very often voile straps for bikepacking but found them useful everywhere else for holding general stuff, and wanted a cheaper version of it. The strap is designed to have two ends that can lock into the buckle. The total length of the strap is about 76 cm, and can be cut anywhere to adjust to the desired length. It can be one long strap of 76cm or two of 38cm, or anything in between. The strap doesn't come with holes. This is a personal design choice, as initial test with holes included in the straps gave a very crappy result, due to the fact that I am using a bowden extruder printer for this print, that does not handle well constant retraction events but does an amazing job at a continuous extrusion of a long strap. I used a simple hole punch to make the holes post-print, it takes 2min and leaves a very nice finish. I used 4.5mm holes in the strap in the pictures. The strap comes with a very subtle central line to help you align the holes better. The strap is made of 95A TPU from Overture. Buckle is PLA+ from Overture. Print both in full.Printer is Prusa Mini+, bed is textured bed for TPU and PEI bed for PLA+.
