Vogal the Dragon

Vogal the Dragon

This year, I ventured into Renaissance acting and pondered about having a real-life dragon. My current plan is to make it autonomous, but for now, it's controlled with dual sliding joysticks for height, rotation, wing spread, and wing angle (tail controls will be added later). The joysticks will eventually be replaced with IR sensors and an accelerometer as I progress. The dragon head model is a derivative of this Thingiverse design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1466. Assistance with programming would be appreciated. Regarding the build, I'm cautious about sharing all files, but here's one with Vogal fully assembled and Arduino Mini Pro 04 support documents. The remaining files are print plates for a Rapman 3.0 Single Head Extruder or any machine with an 8in x 8in build bay or larger. Once printed, the dragon measures a wing span of 28 inches and stands 22 inches tall from nose to tail. Enjoy your printing! Recently, I received high-quality PCBs from DorkBot for my project, but realized I'd made a mistake with capacitors. The attached BRD and SCH files allow for connecting six servos and switching between two sets of four analog sensors with the corrected capacitor placement.
