These are models based around the use of the VOG-17 Based on the most common tail fin design ive developed some improvements and training aids. I've long believed VASE mode prints are good for far more than vases, if done right they are stronger faster prints, many of these models use experimental methods to trick the slicer into doing interesting things. I'm afraid you'll have to slice them to see how they work. VOG 1Is a straightforward model of a VOG-17 with the most common fins built in, for printing in non vase mode as a desktop ornament only, try with colour changes. VOG 2 Is intended as a desktop model printed as a single piece in VASE mode, making it much faster. To make this possible i've designed a new type of tail that can be printed in either orientation, Print nose down, brim, with a few bottom layers. 0.48-0.6 extrusion width Don't print too fast if your using a bed slinger as its top heavy VOG 3 Is the standard tail being added to VOG-17 grenades but modified to allow it to be printed in VASE mode, potentially allowing them to be churned out much faster. 0.6 extrusion width.VOG 4Is a new design for a tail fins for the VOG-17 which can be printed in VASE mode in either orientation 0.6 extrusion width.VOG 4a As design 4 can be printed in either direction they can be stacked on top of each other, i have designed this to print two together, they'll snap apart easily post printing.0.6 extrusion width.VOG 5 Is designed as an inert training grenade, Both parts are printed as vases (0.6 extrusion with bottom layers) The tip can then be filled with sand/flour and the tail is glued in. Making a cheap and disposable training aid. VOG 6 A VASE mode spin stabilized tail design based on a previous model of mine, it should achieve the desired effect with less weight / filament VOG 7 A VASE mode tail design designed for 0.4mm extrusion for low weight and simplicity uses hollow sections to add rigidity VOG 8 Not a practical design ill admit but uses an interesting vase technique to mimic the box style tail of older bomb tail designs. VOG 9 A VASE tail design. Designed to produce the maximum drag stabilisation for the minimum filament, the design produces single wall fins while the others are are all double surfaces. it deliberately has allot of surface area to stabilize a drop quickly, many of the basic minimal fins in use are only effective once moving at high speed.
