Vodafone Smart Speed Case - With Logo
thingiverse
This is my first design for Thingiverse, and it's a phone case designed specifically for my Vodafone Smart Speed 6 (VF-795) phone. The case measures 1.5 mm thick and features holes for all the essential ports, including the audio jack, main camera, flash, speaker, power button, volume rocker, and charging port. The curves and corners of the case are based on circles and cylinders with a radius of 4 mm. I measured the phone's curvatures using only a standard 30 cm ruler, which made for some tricky eyeballing to get the sizes just right. Despite being a beginner, I managed to build this design using OpenSCAD, although it was a bit of a challenge. For the final touches, I used Microsoft's built-in 3D builder app, which produced great results despite not being recognized by Thingiverse. Using this app allowed me to easily add Vodafone's logo to the back of the case. Now that I've got all the design work done, it's time to put my new Prusa i3 3D printer to the test and print out this phone case - once I finish assembling my new machine, that is.
