A "Vo'cume" is a training device used by the Goa'uld to assemble their warriors for inspection. It transmits an audio-visual message from the respective system lord, granting authority to the user. The message is not live but stored in the Vo'cume and can be played back. Major Carter manages to transfer a new message onto a desired Vo'cume to convince former warriors of Apophis about his death.
