These custom hooks took approximately 20 minutes to create in OpenSCAD, allowing students to begin working immediately since they were eager to get started. I anticipated that the tracks would require significant time to design - print - redesign, so I designed these adaptable hooks for use with 3/4-inch PVC pipe, which happened to be readily available in excess quantities. The design is easily modified to accommodate various sizes of PVC pipes, providing versatility and convenience. In addition to being compatible with PVC pipes, these hooks were also designed to work seamlessly with magnets (1/2 inch) on a magnetic blackboard, offering multiple usage options. When placed at sharp angles, the PVC pipe may slide due to the lack of a lip on the hooks. However, applying a piece of tape effectively solves this issue. As an added benefit, these versatile hooks can be used as simple hooks for hanging cables and other items as needed.
