I'll be making a smaller model for demonstration purposes and our club meeting, but the details are still up in the air. For now, this will serve as an example of what can be done with basic 3D printing capabilities. Printing is currently underway. Base print has reached 45%. Time to switch filaments. Now at 92%, another filament change is required. Total time so far: 2 hours and 28 minutes. I've taken a look at the slices, but they don't provide much insight when it comes to tracking the percentage. It's really a matter of observing the build as it progresses. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Model: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Standard Infill Percentage: 15% Notes: Maximum temperature: 244 C Base plate temperature: 129 C Material specifications: ABS, diameter 1.75 mm Dimensions: 128 x 101 mm
