VM275T basic mount using rubber bands or screws

thingiverse

This is a simple mount designed specifically for the VM275T FPV camera & transmitter all-in-one unit. Its primary function is to be easily transferable between RC models while keeping the camera as open as possible to maintain optimal cooling efficiency. Rubber bands can be looped around the mount to secure it firmly in place on an RC model, holding the camera stable. The camera itself is also secured with a rubber band. Three screw holes are available for use as an alternative to rubber bands. Cheap 9g servos typically come with two screws that fit perfectly into these holes. If you choose to use the centre screw, make sure its head is covered with a small piece of sticky tape to prevent it from coming into contact with the underside of the circuit boards. After printing, some cleanup may be necessary, specifically on the semi-circle shaped lens support, which can be smoothed out using a small file or sandpaper. This mount should work with other FPV systems that fit snugly between the 15mm side supports and have the lens offset to the left by approximately 1mm. When securing the rubber bands, it's crucial to use two or more in case one fails. Before each use, test the rubber band for strength by stretching it and inspecting it closely. Reject any weak or cracked rubber bands to ensure a stable connection.
