Vlad Micro is an R/C combat robot that's simple enough for anyone to build, based on the original "Vlad the Impaler" Battlebot that weighed over 200 pounds. These all-plastic bots weigh a mere 150 grams and are designed to be safe to operate in any environment without the need for an enclosed arena. They're perfect for beginners or those who want to try their hand at building a combat robot without breaking the bank. The robot's top is printed with supports, which are necessary for its structural integrity. The other parts don't require any additional support. This combat robot was designed to be both easy to build and relatively safe to operate. To assemble this machine, you'll need: 2 N20-sized micro gear motors with a 30:1 gear ratio. You can find these at hobby stores like HobbyKing (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/brushed-motor-15mm-6v-20000kv-w-30-1-ratio-gearbox.html). A mini servo motor that's compact and powerful. Standard servos will work, but those with metal gears and higher torque are ideal. 2 Lego tires that measure 25mm in diameter. You can buy these in bulk on Ebay or scavenge them from your existing Lego collection. Ant electronics, including two ESCs (like the Fingertech Micro ESC) and one RX module. Opt for components that are as small as possible to save space. A 2S (two-cell) 7.4v battery with a capacity of at least 220mah. This will power your combat robot without weighing it down. Three tiny wood screws to secure the top to the base, and two more screws or wires to attach the servo motor. Some small zip ties to keep the motors in place, and some steel rod or wire to create a rigid lifter, mount the back wheels, and connect the servo horn to the lifter. This material should be able to fit through 1mm holes and provide sufficient support for your robot's movements.
