VL-10
thingiverse
The VL-10 electric locomotive, a mainstay of the Russian rail system, left a lasting impression on me from an early age. Its rugged appearance always caught my eye. This sparked an idea to design a versatile body that could be seamlessly integrated into any standard HO train base/core measuring 162mm in length. It took roughly six hours to complete the printing process. **Instructions** **Print Settings Used:** PLA at 210 degrees Nozzle diameter set at .4mm Layer height precision at .2mm Support material spaced at 2.5mm intervals Printing speed calibrated at 45mm/s Active cooling implemented Remove excess internal supports carefully, followed by the meticulous removal of window and front lower grill guard supports using a precision X-Acto knife for optimal results.
