This design was specifically crafted to facilitate easy attachment of lightweight accessories, such as a finder or guide scope, to a Vixen-style dovetail plate. Attach with two 1-1/4" 8-32 cap head screws and 8-32 square nuts. The precise positioning of the attachment holes is determined by the screw_holes array in the .scad file. By default, both the scad and stl files feature four attachment holes, as illustrated in the stl rendering, yet the actual printed model only includes the two holes depicted in the accompanying photos. Designed with a V-style dovetail plate in mind, this accessory has been thoroughly tested for compatibility. It is also theoretically possible to adapt it for use with a Losmandy D-style dovetail plate by adjusting the dovetail bar parameters within the .scad file accordingly.
