I built a vixen-style adapter for my C8 telescope, allowing me to position it directly on top of the scope and achieve perfect balance. With this setup, I no longer have to worry about the declination axis not balancing properly when the scope is mounted off-center. By placing the telescope on this specialized mount, I've been able to enjoy smoother and more precise tracking.
