Vivo Monitor stand VESA clamp
thingiverse
I was asked to design and build a VESA bracket clamp for a VIVO 3 computer monitor stand that fits perfectly onto a VIVO tube or any other 35mm diameter tube, providing four reliable VESA mounting holes. Initially, the clamp was designed to hold small computers in place, but if you need to mount a large monitor or heavy object, I recommend printing out two clamps for added stability. The design is versatile and adaptable, allowing it to accommodate both SAE (Imperial) bolts and metric bolts, giving users more flexibility when assembling their projects. Specifically, the clamp requires two 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 length bolts plus two nuts, while the VESA holes demand two #8-32 x 1 length bolts plus two nuts. However, users also have the option to substitute these with 6mm x 40mm bolts and nuts for the clamp and 4mm x 25mm bolts and nuts for the VESA mount. This flexibility ensures that the design can be tailored to suit various needs and preferences. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ da Vinci Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 mm Infill: 25% Notes: I printed these clamps in ABS on glass with a glue stick, finding that no supports were needed. Moreover, by increasing the infill to 25%, users can drill additional holes for mounting various components, such as a 4-port switch or other accessories. How I Designed This: Design in 123d Design I have included the 123d Design file, allowing users to modify and customize it according to their project requirements.
