Vive Welding Headgear Adapter for Jackson Safety 370

This is a pair of attachments for the HTC Vive that allow the headband to be replaced with the Jackson Safety 370 welding headgear, available at https://www.amazon.com/Jackson-Safety-Replacement-Headgear-Adjustable/dp/B004RIFGE6. The adapters attach to the sides of the Vive via the metal loops normally used to secure the elastic headband. This allows the Vive to be "flipped up" and stowed above the head when not in use, and also offers the ergonomic benefits of the welding headgear. This adapter was an experiment, designed with inspiration from a similar adapter for another headgear found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1620362. Several improvements are needed for the next version, including attaching directly to the Vive itself by removing the side hinges and utilizing the third top-center attachment point to prevent tilting forwards and pressure on the nose and cheek bones. Despite these limitations, the current adapter functions fairly well! Try printing it and providing feedback - this was my first OpenScad model, so your input would be greatly appreciated! Printer Settings: Kossel 800 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm nozzle Infill: 70% honeycomb Notes: Printed in baby-blue PLA at 200C, print bed at 70C Post-Printing: Rough cleanup was necessary with dremel drills and cutting tools due to the printer's inability to handle overhangs well.
