Vive Controller Camera Mount for Mixed Reality Filming
thingiverse
Camera (or other thing with 1/4" / 6mm bolt mount) mount for HTC Vive controller. I'll be utilizing it for Mixed Reality filming, but you might have alternative applications! It securely holds the controller when printed in ABS, and I've added space for standard 12mm wide velcro tape, ideal for mounting on a drone or upside-down – both of which I'm experimenting with! This is an ongoing project, but Mixed Reality and VR are advancing rapidly, and Vive Trackers will be available soon, so I'd rather save people time in the short term than wait until I have a flawless design that's no longer relevant. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: I've added "ears" for improved adhesion on the corners, and some supports which need to be broken off in the velcro cutout sections. Additional supports can be used if desired; it should adhere well without a raft, though. How I Designed This: Created in Tinkercad using the official high-res Vive Controller model. If you'd like to customize, I've shared the design for public editing.
