Visor SARS V2.0
thingiverse
The SARS V2.0 model is a protective visor with a voiced name based on the Prussia RC2 design. It is the successor to the SARS V1.0 prototype, which I didn't officially release but chose to make available to maintain project development appearance and testing order. This ensures future versions can be improved or adapted for various plastic protective glass sizes. Upgrades from the Prussia project include: - Lowering element height reduces printing time. - Simplifying helmet shape makes it easier to print. - New three arch design creates visors adjusted to 0.6 mm nozzle outlines with a 0.72 mm width, connected by an internal line for perfect bonding of layers and increased flexibility. This also reduces filament usage and printing time. - Characteristic pointed endings mark the installation place of outer plexiglass handles. - The "pregnancy" holders are redesigned to be 21 mm thick, based on Prusa's design, making them suitable for printing without supports and preventing material sagging. - Plexiglass handles from the Prussia model are copied and attached in the same spot as before to minimize mismatch risk and associated problems with plexiglas cutting patterns.
