We're utilizing this design to manufacture numerous visor frames from 1/4" (5mm) ABS flat sheet simultaneously. The design is "flattened out" to enable a large number of items to be nested on the laser, making the cutting process more efficient. When a batch is complete, we heat the corners and bend them into their final shape. The design suggests using a jig, but we've found that heating the corner, placing it on top of a template, and cooling the corner with a damp towel works well once you master this technique. The uploaded design is tailored for an 8-1/2" x 11" transparency with holes punched half an inch to either side of where they normally would be. To achieve this, we offset the paper by half an inch, punch it, then flip it end to end and punch again.
